IPCP Written Response on Operating Principles Governing the Work of the Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution Prevention

At the ad hoc Open-Ended Working Group on the Science-Policy Panel (OEWG-1.2), the Secretariat of the OEWG was tasked with solicit written input regarding the operating principles governing the work of the Panel. The Secretariat prepared a background document providing an overview of operating principles of relevant, existing science-policy bodies (i.e., the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), International Resource Panel (IRP) and Global Environment Outlook (GEO)) and held an informational webinar.

A written response form the IPCP is available here. In its response the IPCP emphasized the need for explicit inclusion of conflict of interest provisions.
