IPCP Policy Brief: The precautionary principle as an important element of the SPP’s work

An updated policy brief for the first session of the Plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution (ISP-CWP P1) in Geneva, Switzerland on 2-6 February 2026 can be found here.

The International Panel on Chemical Pollution (IPCP) prepared this policy brief on precautionary principle as an additional input to the third session of the Open Ended Working Group (OWEG-3) for the development of the Science-Policy Panel (SPP) to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution.
